Janssen
(1965) is Managing Director of Niaba, the Netherlands' Biotech Industry
Association. Niaba is the Netherlands' Biotechnology Industry Association. Its
mission is to support the growth and development of biotechnology in The
Netherlands by advocating favourable legislative and policy actions as well as
providing valuable business networking opportunities. With more than 70
corporate members, Niaba represents the majority of the Dutch biotechnology
companies and related organisations in human and animal healthcare, food, feed,
agriculture and the environment. Niaba-members include large multinationals
companies such as Unilever and Akzo Nobel / Organon,
as well as emerging
biotechnology companies, major research universities and institutes, and other
affiliated organisations.
Furthermore, Janssen is member of or advisor to
several Dutch, European and worldwide organisations in business, science,
technology and government.
He has studied history and communication at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Before his current position, he was consultant in public affairs, public
relations and communication. During this period, Janssen developed and managed
major Dutch campaigns.
