Dr.
Jürgen Schweden has a PhD degree in Biochemistry. He started working for BASF in
1989 as a Scientist and Project Leader working on the Identification &
Development of Recombinant Proteins for Pharmaceutical Applications until 1996.
Afterwards, he worked on New Business Developments in Fine Chemicals, and in
1997 he became the Worldwide Product Manager concerning Tocopherol. In 1998 he
was the Manager of Plant Biotechnology of Fine Chemicals. In 1999 he went to the
BASF Plant Science LLC Division in Raleigh, North Carolina in the US, and was
the Director of Research & Development until 2002. After returning to Germany,
he is currently the Senior Vice-President of
